Ⅸ. Important Points for Using Zoom in Class (If you attend classes online or use Zoom for class activities
1. Use ZOOM responsibly in your Japanese classes
Don’t do such things below by your own smartphone or tablet device.
・make video or audio recordings of your classes
・take pictures of the screen, your classmates or teacher in ZOOM
・upload them to SNS, etc.
(It is illegal to record or take pictures of people and share them without their permission.)
Teacher(s) usually do not record classes, either. Therefore, if you are absent, we are not able to provide the
recording for you. However, if you have a speaking test or presentation, the teacher’s Zoom will record it. In
that case, teacher(s) will tell everyone about recording before that. Recordings of exams will not be provided
to students.

2. Zoom video settings

Language lessons are carried out based on seeing each other’s face. Therefore, all students should be sure to
turn on their video and show their faces during classes. If you do not have a camera on your PC
install it. If you do not have a webcam available, or you have some other special reasons for yo
settings, talk with your teacher individually.

3. Internet environment
It is difficult for teacher(s) to judge the individual circumstances of the student and support the internet
environment maintenance. Please check your internet environment and do your best to ensure that you can take
classes smoothly.

★ If you have problems with ZOOM, please try to get help from Academic office.
