    Well control and well is safe

    Work area is safe brake is secure

    Fluid level pit levels.

    Switch off lights

    Diesel / fuel levels

    Last shift operation

    Complete report and signed closed

    Bleed pressure off the BOP

    Winter / protect mud tank and system

    Bleed off air pressure

    Hand over to night guard information and Keys

    Lock away tools

    Read the previous report

    JSA Pre start safety meeting PPE and have coffee / tea…. Beer!!!

    Verify engine / oil water/ gear box/ compressor

    Drilling line is OK

    Check safety systems.

    Rotation equipment grease and oil

    Start engine

    Run equipment

    Check crown saver system

    Check well pressure….

    Start and pressure up HPU BOP

    Check pump piping to well to verify damage

    Verify clutches

    Visual check (CAT 1) of lifting tools

    Fuel

    Verify hydraulic tong / hoses and operation

    Electrical system and equipment

    Earth wires

    Start compressor and drain off water from receiver

    Read the program

    Look ahead at program

    Verify / notice of changes during the night.
