Being a celebrity - such as a famous film star or

sports personality - brings problems as well as benefits.

Do you think that being a celebrity has more benefits or more problems?

Fame is a state of being widely recognized, respected, and admired by many people. However,
being a famous person is not always as advantageous as it is thought to be. Personally, I think there
are more problems.

There are several benefits of being famous. Firstly, celebrities can earn great deal of money
meaning they can
buy whatever they want. Secondly, they are the people
who influence the community the most through media
that show us their enviable lifestyle. For example, the famous are often shown driving expensive
cars, living in big mansions, and wearing fashionable clothes, which is a real luxury. Because of
this public wants to copy them, which means the famous can make even more money from
promoting products of brands. Thus, there are clear financial benefits for any one who
enjoys the idea of fame.

Nevertheless, there are also problems - it is not all easy. Although the famous people earn much,
they automatically
spend much. It is true that they have great wealth or
influence but little privacy because paparazzi follow them
everywhere. Which means they cannot eat in a restaurant or
go shopping. Even more importantly, the
media make them famous but the media itself can print bad stories as well as good, because of
which their family life and relationships may suffer. Therefore, they pay a high personal price for
their fame.

In conclusion, even though there are financial benefits, they

come in a very high price: loss of freedom, privacy and relationships. In my view, there are more
problems than benefits, to me, the personal costs are
greater than the benefits.
