MAPPING SKILLS:BOLTS

Using the information below, you are to sketch an island with the following features.

Ravali is a small island located in the Pacific Ocean. There are two villages on the island, Rima on
the north coast (north west of the island), and Lopu on the south coast(south east of the island).
The only link between the two villages is a walking track. The walking track crosses the river Vai’i
over a bridge
* The river Vai’i flows from a lake near the centre of the island.
* On the eastern shore is a boathouse.
* A lighthouse has been built on the west coast to warn ships away from the dangerous rocks
along that coast. There is a rainforest on the northeast of the island.
There is also an airfield on the western side of the island that is used to fly in tourists that stay at
the hotel in the only town, Aparia. Aparia is located in the northern of the island around Aparia
Harbour. The only road joins the town to the airfield.
