• The 2. largest plain in Hungary

• It also extends to other countries (Austria, Slovakia)

Formation
• It was filled by the sediments of the Danube and its tributaries
(coming from the neighbouring countries)  changed into a very
fertile soil
• sediments: pebbles, clay and sand (kavics, agyag, homok)
