2. Listen and complete the text about Markville (there is, there isn’t, there are, there aren’t)

Come to Markville! It’s a great place to live. They are two museums and a great public library. There is also, a movie
theater, so you can see a movie if you want. There’s a mall, and there are lots of cool shops and a historical bank.

Markville has two hotels: there’s an old traditional hotel and there is a new modern one, so you can choose where you
stay. They are not clubs, but there is a bar inside one of the hotels. For food lovers, they are two delicious restaurants,
one French, the other Mexican, and an interesting café too.

We’re going green too! Downtown is only for pedestrians, so they are not cars to ruin the peace.

See you soon!

3. Choose one of the images, label some places on it (minimum 7) and then write a description putting into practice
the vocabulary about: prepositions of place, there is/there are and adjectives to describe places

This town is located near the mountains, in the east of the country and is known for its landscapes, lakes and
its gastronomy.
In the middle of the city, there is a castle and a bus station, in front of the castle there is a beautiful cathedral.
There are clean streets and a beautiful park. However, there is neither a museum nor a zoo in the city. The
people are cheerful, charismatic, and friendly always welcome you with a smile.
For me, this is an amazing and beautiful place

Sky Mountain
Cathedral

Factory

Hospital Bus station

Castle

School

Park Lake
