Science: With studying the physical characteristics of the animals living in lakes.
Language Arts: Reading and writing descriptions, legends and folktales about lakes in the area.
PE: Learning about sports that are practiced in lakes.
Math: Measurement of lakes- ponds.

POSSIBLE EXTENSIONS/INCLUSIONS
- A field trip: To visit Azalea Craft Park which is placed by the lake
- Interviewing people who take care of lakes – ask them for tips to take care of lakes in the Florida area.
- Interviewing a wakeboarding, kayaking, fishing professional.
- Go to the library and read a legend in which there is a lake (A Seminole chief and his people had settled
in the area. A giant bull alligator took up residence in an adjacent lake, then began raiding the village.)
