IMPACT OF ASYNCHRONOUS VIRTUAL CLASS

TOWARDS STUDENTS IN LEARNING

DIGITAL IMAGE PROCESSING SUBJECT

OBJECTIVE ABSTRACT
This project survey the experience and impact of
students learning digital image processing subject via When Malaysia government decided to have movement control order (MCO) due to Coronavirus disease outbreak it
straightly gave huge effect to education field including higher learning institute.
asynchronous learning :
Lecturer facing challenges in transforming their teaching from face to face to virtual class.
◆ To overcome the issue on students learning during
movement control order. Lecturer must design new way of delivering the syllabus either synchronous (real time) and asynchronous (not in real time)
methods.
◆ To evaluate the student’s feedback in experiencing
Interesting teaching techniques that can be applied in asynchronous virtual class such as video, game, quiz and many more.
asynchronous learning.
Survey on the experience and impact of students during asynchronous virtual class is implemented.
◆ The evaluation is based on:
➢ Do the students LIKE the way of we handling
asynchronous learning?
➢ Do the students UNDERSTAND the learning?
➢ Do the students ATTRACT to know more about
the syllabus after experience the asynchronous
learning?
➢ Do the students feel HAPPY when doing
Conventional Learning Asynchronous Learning
asynchronous learning?

RESULTS

&
DISCUSSION

CONCLUSION

◆ It shows that students are happy and like the new normal of learning using
asynchronous techniques.
◆ However, happy and like feeling not giving impact for students to understand
and not increase the interest of students to learn more on the subject.
◆ To create new framework of asynchronous techniques that increase the
understanding and attract interest of students in learning digital image
processing .
