CLIMATE CHANGE

WHAT IS CLIMATE CHANGE

Climate change is the change in temperature and other climate variables, which is occurring with impressive speed and intensity in the
history of mankind as a result of human activity.

PLACE AND WHO IS AFFECTED?

It is happening all over the world and its consequences can be devastating, both for the environment and for people.

the burning of fossil fuels generates greenhouse gases, it is the cause behind this serious environmental threat, the greatest threat
facing humanity.

The impacts of climate change are already perceptible. The global average temperature has increased since pre-industrial times.

HOW AFFECTS?
• Extreme weather events, storms and hurricanes.

• More intense heat waves, lasting than ever before.

• Mega-fires.

•The droughts.

These impacts in turn cause economic and social damage, which will be increasingly serious, such as damage to crops and food
production or health risks.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS?
We can all contribute to limiting climate change. From the way we get around, to the electricity we use and the food we eat, we can
make a difference

HOW CAN WE CONTRIBUTE?

- Save energy at home

- Get around on foot, by bike or by public transport

- Eat more vegetables

- Throw away less food

- Reuse and recycle

- Change home energy, to solar energy

CLIMATE CHANGE IS A REALITY THAT IS ALREADY GOING TO HAVE UNAVOIDABLE

IMPLICATIONS, BUT WE CAN STILL MINIMIZE ITS MOST SEVERE CONSEQUENCES
