Yamaha announces the release of a special tool (Entry Box) for the remote control transmitter
(hereinafter referred to as remote control) equipped with the new 2004 FX High Output (FX160)
model.
Purpose / Application:
Tool for producing spare remote controls at dealers in case of losing or damaging the remote
controls.
Sales Unit:
Only one unit for each dealer. We strictly control the sales of the tools for the purpose of
producing spare remote controls.

AA: How to Use the Entry Box

1. Registering the remote control:
① Remove a service lid 1 with the battery
connected.
② Connect the entry box to a black-colored
coupler (2-pin type) of the vehicle’s main
harness, and push either one of buttons on
the remote control you want to register.
③ When the registration is successful, a
SECURITY LED (Green) on a meter panel
changes from flashing to lighting state.
④ Then, the LED returns to the flashing state.
Note: The original remote control should be re-
registered due to the cancellation of the register
when the entry box is connected to the main
harness.
2. Registering repeatedly:
You can register up to 5 remote controls.
① With the entry box connected, check to
see that the LED is flashing, then push the
button on the remote control you want to
register repeatedly.
3. When finishing registration:
Check to see that the registration is successful
and the LED is flashing, then remove the entry
box from the black-colored coupler of the main
harness.
Note: Connecting the entry box may cause to
reset the remote control registered previously. In
the additional registration, simultaneously register
the remote control you have used until that time
again.
