ABSTRACT:

Nanotechnology and MEMS (Microelectromechanical Systems) are two rapidly growing

fields that are transforming the way we think about electronics, materials, and devices.
MEMS technology uses microfabrication techniques to create tiny mechanical systems that
are integrated with electronics. Nanotechnology in electronics refers to the use of nanoscale
materials (Nano-particles) and devices in the development of electronic systems and devices.
The application of nanotechnology in electronics has enabled the development of smaller,
faster, and more efficient electronic components, such as transistors, memories, and sensors.
The integration of nanotechnology in electronics has opened up new avenues for the
development of advanced electronic systems, such as flexible and wearable electronics,
biocompatible electronics, and smart systems.

One of the main uses of Nanotechnology is Integrated Circuits (IC). Nanotechnology has also
enabled the development of novel electronic devices and systems that were previously
impossible, such as molecular and quantum electronics. The impact of nanotechnology in
electronics is far-reaching and is expected to drive the development of next-generation
electronic technologies and devices in the coming years.

Nanotechnology is studying and manipulating matter(atoms) on a nanometre scale, typically

less than 100 nanometres. It involves the creation of nanoscale structures and devices and the
manipulation of individual atoms and molecules. Nanotechnology has the potential to
revolutionize the fields of medicine, electronics, energy, and materials science.

Current efforts involve modeling and understanding the physics of nanofluidic devices and
systems, exploiting polymer structures to enable nanofluidic manipulation, and integrating
MEMS sensors with microfluidics for measuring the physical properties of biomolecules.
