assume bm = asm hence
x = asm / m
= as
we know that b = as therefore a | b

(iii) suppose a | b and b | c, then a | c then it follows that there are positive integers with s and t

b = as and c = bt

c = bt = (as)t = a(st)

since j and k are both positive integers then a | c
