Scope of Application: In vehicles whose braking system and possibly ancillary consumers
use compressed air. In terms of the pressure to be generated,
compressors up to approx. 12.0 bar are called normal pressure (NPR),
and those of more than 12.0 bar are called high pressure (HPC/HPS)
compressors.

Operation of a Compressor
5/3
Example: The compressor’s reference plate shows a swept volume of 293 cm³
and a nominal speed of 3000 min-1. This means a QTh of 880 litres per
minute (rounded up). As shown in the table below, this compressor
should increase the pressure in a 20 litre air reservoir from 3.0 to 4.0
bar within 3.5 seconds.
Schematic for When testing according to the table, it is advisable to use a test
Testing and Installation: reservoir. For this purpose, the connecting line (1) of the quadruple
circuit protection valve must be disconnected and then connected to
the air reservoir (20 or 40 litres). The increase in pressure can then be
measured at the test point (A).

Maintenance: The filter (15) should be cleaned every 3
months. To take out the filter, simply unscrew
the tyre inflation connector or the screw plug.
After cleaning, re-install in reverse order.
