BRIEF HISTORY OF ZAPOTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Zapote Elementary School was established since 1992, through the effort and initiative of
Mr. Ernesto Eusebio, the Barangay Captain of Zapote II, where the first school building was
given by the NGO (non-government official) with the coordination of the Filipino-Chinese
Chamber of Commerce donors.

During that year, there were only (4) four classroom with the total area of 12,127 sq. m. It
was leased to a prominent Bacooreño named Atty. Rodriguez for 25 years and this contract will
expired until 2018.

The said public institution was first headed by Mrs. Felicitas T. Naños a grade III teacher
a pioneer of the school who served as the Officer-in-Charge with 60 pupils enrolled and four
teachers.

Evidently, enrollment tremendously increased year afteryearwhichresulted to a complete


elementary grades school. Dr. Lourdes S. Clemente was assigned as the Teacher-in-Charge and
was then promoted as the school principal from 1995 to 2000. After her term, the following
persons served as principal or administrator in Zapote Elementary School namely: Dr. Editha B.
Gregorio (2000 -2001), Mrs.Catalina Jacinto (2002-2004), Mrs. Amorita P. Del Mundo TIC
(2004-2005), Dr. Teodoro A. Gloriani (2005-2009), Mrs. Elenita C. Satsatin (2009-2014), Mrs.
Ma. Teresa G. Semino (2014-2015) and Mr. Michael M. Acuña (2015- 2016). As of present
time, the school is under the leadership of Mrs. Mercedes V. Paraiso.

Zapote Elementary School is composed of high-moral/competent and efficient personnel-


55 nationally-funded teachers, and 5 non-teaching personnel.
