Training Methods

A training method is a procedure dedicated to advance employee’s knowledge and skills

to better their performance of assigned works. An organization choose a suitable training

technique for its workers depending on the method’s cost, organizational size, kind of workers

and the nature of the job. Training bring changes, development and new innovations in the

organization (Sartori et al., 2018). An example of a training technique for human resource

include traditional training method which need specialists and professionals achieve them. The

assignment will discuss a fruitful training case utilizing the traditional training techniques and

how to combine technology-based and traditional training methods.

A Fruitful Training Case utilizing Traditional Training Techniques

An example of a successful training case utilizing traditional training methods includes

an organization that uses on-the-job training to train new employees. The organization may use

shadowing method where an expert on a certain job demonstrates to the new employee what to

do and then the employee is let to try the job alone (Jacobs, 2019). Additionally, the organization

may utilize orientation, internship, simulations, seminars or one-on-one mentoring. On-the-job

training technique forms a successful and effective training because it is customized to

institutional services, rules, guidelines and products. Therefore, workers learn about the

institution in a real-world setting rather than in a classroom setting. Additionally, on-the-job

traditional training method may provide individualized learning experience since trainees may

ask queries and obtain feedback from experienced workers. Therefore, on-the-job training is a

successful training technique.

Combination of Technology-based and Traditional Training Techniques

TRAINING METHODS 3

One way to combine technology-centered and traditional training techniques include a

blended learning approach that incorporate offline and online training techniques. For example,

an organization may utilize an online training program to train new employees on the set rules,

principles and policies to govern organizational activities. Similarly, the organization may use

offline training methods such as on-the-job approaches, specifically, shadowing to train new

employees on the merchandises and services. Consequently, a blend of offline and online

training works successfully as it permit workers to learn using different methods (Bernardes et

al., 2019). Additionally, this example of merged training methods is affordable compared to

techniques like e-learning.

In conclusion, employee training improves their skills and understanding of their work,

promoting high production. One way to train employees include traditional methods like on-the-

job training, where workers learn while working. Technology-centered approach may be

combined with traditional approaches to improve workers learning and understand organizational

working.
