Lack of education results into discrimination

and racism
Education is the process of learning and gaining knowledge. It helps us broaden our views
about our surroundings and makes us more open-minded. But in case of a person lacking in
education might be narrow-minded and would tend to follow old cultures and traditions
without even using logic to figure out whether they are right or wrong.

Lack of education may lead to certain discrimination and racism. Our basic education is
would play an important role in eradicating these problems. Children should be taught at an
early age that all humans are equal and they are not responsible for each other’s doings. Basic
education is most important and the teachings of Islam are perfect to fill the brains with
positive knowledge.

But there are many cases in which people can’t even get their primary education due to
poverty or gender discrimination. Discrimination is the unjust or prejudicial treatment of
different categories of people. Even in this modern day and time there are many parents who
don’t send their daughters to school. This sort of discrimination occurs due to lack of
knowledge of parents. They think girls should only stay at home and do house chores but
women should be educated as they are the ones who would teach their children. This type of
discrimination usually occurs in some Asian countries. There is even some discrimination
among educated people. Many people that are chosen for jobs are chosen if they graduated
from good college or university. The criteria should be set on their skills and talents.

Racism is a form of oppression by one race against another. It is another negative outcome of
lack of education. The major victims of racism are the black people. This happened in
America and some European countries. Barak Obama was the first black president chosen in
2009 which showed racial discrimination against black people has reduced but even now
there are many black people who face prejudicial treatment because of their colour.

Therefore we must change the mindset of people from a very early age through education so
that the concept of discrimination could be destroyed. Even though it won’t disappear
completely but we can still try to reduce it.
