hoste ls. Everyone stood up and gathe red their book s in a hurry
to run to the
hoste ls. They were shoc ked to see the boys ' hoste ls engu lfed in
huge flames.

First I would Hke to give you the background Information on the club. This club was formed early this
year by I few members who were concerned by the state of our environment. When It was birthed, It
had only six members. The club then srew as more members were recruited to Join. Today I am proud
to Inform you that the number has Increased to thirty-two.

The club, e I e alms at sensitising the school community on the Importance of


developing and mafn,. -u ..lT environmentally friendly habits. We encourdge the community to use
natural resources wlselv by way ~ n T Uttering and not cutting down trees. ~r desire Is to see our

plantlns trees at the local hospital. The trees were donated to us by Talana Tree Nursery. We also haw
an ongoing project of mounting billboards around the school in our effort to sensitise the school
community on sustainable use of the environment.

Last te,rm the club participated In the National Environmental Awareness Competitions and manaaed to
scoop position 1. Iam also proud to Inform you that since the Inception of the club, our school

Al the chairperson of the club, our dream Is to see It reach areater heights. Our.Intention as the dub Is

WIidiife and Tourism, with the assistance of the School Head.
