Choose ONE of the talks and:
1. Write a SYNOPSIS of the talk.

The Talk that being presented by Prof Muhammad Yunus who is a social entrepreneur from
Bangladesh and being the founder for Grameen Bank and developing the ideas of microcredit
and microfinance, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In which talk and focus upon the
subject at hand, which is the world with three zeros, Zero Unemployment, Zero Poverty, Zero
Carbon Emission, He explain about what part do we play in this three zero. The new
economics of zero wealth concentration to end poverty, unemployment, and net carbon
emissions is referred to as a phrase with three zeros. Explained what precisely is social
business in which a social business is one that was established primarily to pursue social or
environmental goals as opposed to individual financial gain, according to Professor
Muhammad Yunus. Social enterprises work to address societal problems while maintaining a
profit. The idea of social business is still relatively new in Malaysia. He also explains that
because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be more young generations who want to
make a difference, improve the world, and redesign the economy. Schools and universities
are the best places to encourage social business entrepreneurship and cultivate a social
business culture that believes in the potential to do good in an entrepreneurial way. Professor
Muhammad Yunus asserted that the concept of a social business didn't occur to him because
he was considering what a business should be, but rather because there were so many
problems in the world. So thorough the talk he explains about how he comes with the
solution and what does someone need to do to make the social business ideas come to
fruition, as a result, Professor Muhammad Yunus realised that to be learned, something must
be useful to people. As a result, he tried to see if he could help the villagers in the village; this
was the beginning of the work that gradually steered Professor Muhammad Yunus in certain
directions. Throughout the process, he took a lot of little actions, trying to solve issues as they
arose. For examples, a successful social enterprise that he has worked to launch in different
parts of the world, including Grameen Danone, a collaboration between Grameen and
Danone that makes fortified yoghurt for malnourished children, and Grameen Shakti, a
renewable energy provider that offers solar energy to rural communities in Bangladesh at a
reasonable cost. In the end, Professor Yunus emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship
and innovation in creating long-term solutions to some of the most pressing problems facing
the world today, as well as overseer the potential of social business as a potent tool for
bringing about social and environmental change.

2. Provide at least 5 MAIN POINTS from the talk and elaborate.

Thorougt the talk there are many point that has been said by Prof Yunus and this is
some of the main point that can be seen as important:

1) Wiling to think outside of the box about helping other people like fighting loan
shark:
The professor discusses strategies for defending against loan sharks. He wasn't
considering any big ideas; he was just thinking about one, two, or three people.
When he had the thought, "Why not lend money to the needy person," he was
thinking about what or how he could stop someone from becoming a victim of a
loan shark. The person may turn to a loan shark if no one else is willing to help,
but if he gives the money, he won't have to; instead, all he needs to do is give
the money when the issue is resolved in which lead to the creation of
microcredit.
2) Brave to voice out thought to the higher up or big corporation:
Prof Yunus say that as part of a bank business, banks are supposed to lend
money to people, but instead they do so to those who already have a lot of
money and do not give it to those who are in need, he claimed, making their
actions wholly incorrect. Because of this, the poor continue to live in poverty
and are unable to make use of the funds that banks are supposed to provide for
them so that they can feed their families and he critic that a bank should defend
the poor people and not the other way around.
3) Creating policy that benefit all people without any discrimination:
Prof Yunus explain that a bank will not give loan to the woman community
because of a stereotypes and stigma that has been buried inside the mind of
Bangladeshi that woman should take care of their husband only and cannot do
anything without the help of man so thus the existence of policy that woman
cannot loan in the bank even when the woman a rich one. So, Prof Yunus came
up with a solution that fifty percent of his borrowers should come from woman,
and this help the woman community without hurting the men community.
4) Helping the Illiterate family to make their family become educate:
Professor decided that all these women's children should attend school after
realising that most of them couldn't read or write. As part of its commitment to
ensuring that 100 Grameen children attended school, Grameen Bank started
giving them educational loans. So, they will attendance at colleges and
universities, which they did, was necessary. Before going on to become doctors
or engineers, thousands of students attended colleges and universities and
earned bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees. In this way human can see
that these kids are just as capable as anyone else when the opportunity been
open widely by others. A new generation can emerge because their work was
good enough for them to continue their education in which can reduce the
illiterate in the family that has the same outcome with Prof Yunus plan.
5) Being able to identify self-value and other basic and unique skill.
In the talk, he is discussing the women he approached. Is it accurate to say that
all women who make excellent food also enjoy eating it? Why do you claim to
be ignorant when everyone praises your culinary skills? he asked. If you are a
good cook, you can sell your food on the market; if it is good, people will like it
and pay for it; this will bring in money for you, and they will probably be
grateful for it. The professor is constantly emphasising the value that people
place on skills and how important they are.

3. Choose at least TWO (2) things that you can use in your group's proposed Social
Business project

For the first things that I can used in my proposed Social Business project is I will think
outside the box like how to tackle the market of the 3 zero. Like on how to increase audience
accessibility and engagement, incorporate artistic and cultural elements like Batik design or
flowery design that have subtle message about Malay culture into the project to attract people
attention. To promote the product that I work, I might organise gatherings to create more
awareness towards the product and interacting with potential clients and partners through
social media platforms to promote the project. To raise awareness and engagement,
producing compelling video content, holding engaging Q&A sessions, or starting social media
campaigns. I can develop a unique strategy that distinguishes my project and has a
significant impact by exercising creativity and being open-minded in social business.

Next, For the second point that I will use in my social business project is knowing my own
worth and skill set. Recognizing and utilising my unique skill set while also developing the
fundamental abilities needed for success in social business will help me to build a strong
foundation for the project and have a significant impact on in the community. Everyone have
their own value so in this way I can help my team to achieve our goals together since we can
identify what our forte and value in the team.
