Choose three (3) of UN's Global Sustainable Development Goals and explain HOW these
goals can be achieved.

I. GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

Everyone wants, good health and well-being, not only for themselves but also for
their family. Health is vital as it encompasses our whole existence, from birth through
growth and even death. Having good health will enable us to do different kinds of
activities that's why when we are sick, we can't do anything. The first thing that comes to
mind when we talk about health is our physical and emotional state. How can we ensure
that everyone has a healthy physical body free of disease-related suffering, and how can
we ensure that every young person or individual has a healthy mental state?

First and foremost, we must have a sufficient understanding of how to care for
ourselves. We should be aware of what is prohibited and what we may or may not put
into our bodies. Not everything we see around us, particularly on social media,
corresponds to what we will eat, drink, or adopt as a lifestyle. How can everyone be
educated about health? This might be the initiative of anyone with a sufficient or expert
understanding of health issues. Lectures, video production, or distribution of reading
materials on the things we need to do to safeguard our health that we sometimes
misunderstand. At the same time, healthcare programs must be promoted.

Simple innovation will also aid in the fulfillment of this goal. When I was in junior
high, there was a group whose action research project was to place medical kits on each
floor of the school building. They are quite useful, especially in times of emergency.
Therefore, I realized that with such a simple idea, we could be able to help. What else
can be done? Raising awareness of negative actions that we should avoid, such as
smoking, drinking, using illegal substances, and other vices. Some people are still
unaware of the negative consequences of these practices until they suffer. Promote a
nation that is free of these vices. Our government should enact a policy or a strong
regulation to address this issue since even if there is a policy, the number of individuals
who smoke, drink, and are addicted to these substances is still the same. We need
tougher and more stringent laws.
Something else we don't see is people's mental health, particularly young people.
This is one of the big issues today. Many people take their lives because of depression.
So, it's great that every family is open about this and that it's been discussed inside the
family. I was amazed because of a specific country where they have a facility there that
accommodates your needs like if you want to communicate with someone or talk about
your problems, they have it there. I'm not suggesting that something like this should exist
in the Philippines, but I am emphasizing the significance of communication in combating
this kind of issue. How can the community help with this? They can create a program
that addresses mental, emotional, and social needs as well as conduct seminars about
this. Let us not forget that the spiritual part of wellness is also included. For me, personal
devotion to the Lord is essential as a young person. You may join your friends and family
in this through prayer meetings and bible studies.

Finally, most importantly of all, to guarantee that everyone has good health and well-
being, each person should have equal rights in terms of health needs. All health benefits
must be free and easily accessible. That is what everyone has been hoping for and
pushing for a long time.

II. INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE

One of my objectives as a future civil engineer is to innovate, build facilities that will
surely serve and benefit my fellow Filipinos, and support industrial growth. This objective
is linked to the establishment of projects that will be beneficial and accessible to
everybody.

As far as I know, every government-built infrastructure or construction project, such

as bridges and highways, has a sufficient budget. If I ever manage such projects, I must
ensure that every cent owned by the public goes to a meaningful cause. There was no
money taken. There were no substandard materials used, but everything was done well
enough to be useful to the general public. I hope today's leaders are like this, serving
with honesty and integrity.

There is a connection between this goal and the word innovative. To achieve this
goal, we must study things that can truly sustain our lives and focus on the advancement
of technology. Today's industry requires the use of new approaches and solutions to
handle a wide range of issues. Furthermore, any advances in advanced technology that
are used must guarantee that they do not affect the environment.

One of the crises in the Philippines today is a shortage of professional and trained
employees since many migrate overseas to seek opportunities, a phenomenon known as
brain drain. Some of the things that must be done to manage this type of situation are to
concentrate on working to develop establishments that will probably become commercial
centers. More establishments imply more opportunities and job choices. Among the most
prevalent causes of this problem is that we do not pay attention to and support our
human resources, their talent and intelligence are often not given recognition. Let us
show our support for Filipino-made innovations.

In summary, this specific goal has a connection to development. Development of

infrastructure, industry, and development innovation so that the country is ready for the
future challenges it will face. As a student, the only thing I can contribute to this
development is to study hard and be open to this matter so that when I am there on that
job, I can fulfill my duty.

III. REDUCED INEQUALITIES

Inequality exists because there is a difference in each individual. Religion, the

nation, origin, culture, identity, abilities, economic status, and ideology are all factors that
differentiate people. It acts as a barrier between the wealthy and the poor, the strong and
the weak, the educated and the uneducated, and the great and the lowest. How to start
reducing inequalities?

Equality for everyone. It will never happen because equality in this world is
impossible to achieve. But we can reduce it. Starting with yourself, learn to respect
yourself and respect others as well. We have differences, but if there is love and respect
between us, regardless of our differences, we will come together as one. As we are told
and taught, treat others as you would like to be treated.

When this matter is discussed, the government's policies and laws are frequently
brought up. These policies should be designed to benefit everyone, and no one should
be left behind. Encourage equal opportunity for all, regardless of age, gender, civil
status, physical attractiveness, or someone's background. Freedom to express your
beliefs and faith must be respected by those in power. In terms of cultural diversity, we
should encourage rather than detest it. Opportunity to defend oneself and get justice free
of political influence. Above all, equal rights in education, health, and employment for all.

CONCLUSION

To achieve these goals, we must first begin with ourselves. Examine how you can
contribute to the sustainability of life. Begin with your community, assist in the resolution of
problems, and participate in all programs aimed at development. Find answers to societal
problems, be knowledgeable about them, and do research. You should set a good example,
and others will surely follow. Be intelligent, critical, and compassionate toward everybody.
