BP PATHFINDER MOVEMENT

A GUIDE TO THE MEDALS,


KNOT AWARDS & DECORATIONS

Based on 1907-1941 heritage record of The Scout Association (TSA)

A. Specifications of the emblems are as below:
1. The emblem should be in rectangle in shape (1½ inch long x ¾ inch height).
2. Most of the emblem’s base should be in British Khaki colour.
3. Knot been used in the emblem is figure of eight knot.
4. The emblem should be embroidered properly with properly sewn frame (1/8
inch wide).

B. There are 9 awards which been categorised into 2 categories:


1. Gallantry Award
2. Good Service Award

C. The Gallantry Award is granted upon discretion & approval by Chief Scout
Council with recommendation & proposal by IHQ Commissioner Council.

D. The Good Service Award is granted upon discretion & approval by IHQ
Commissioner Council with recommendation & proposal by Scoutmaster
Council.

E. All awards will be accompanied by an award certificate in the recipient’s


name.

GALLANTRY AWARD (with discretion & approval by Chief Scout Council)

POR 1915 – Scoutmasters
and all Warrant ranks

GOOD SERVICE AWARD (with discretion & approval by IHQ Commissioner Council)

AWARD EMBLEM DESCRIPTION ELLIGIBLITY


POR 1911 – The "Silver
Wolf" is awarded to a
King's Scouts who gained
Silver Wolf 24 Proficiency badges, for
1910 which he will be re-
examined by a
Headquarters Examiner.
POR 1935 – States the "Silver Acorn" is
an award for especially distinguished Distinguished service adult
Silver Acorn service. It is worn in uniform on a yellow with not less than 20 years

of the pocket.
