How does corruptión affect countries and what are the main causes of corruptión?
The corruptión affects and contributes to a huge inequality that commands and orders in the
countries, corruptión is the backbone of an unequal society, with poverty and without
opportunities.
The corruptión affects societies and widens an inequality gap, because it is fact that this type
of practice costs more to those who have lees. But, it is even more sensitive that the
consequence of corruptión and impunity has strongly degraded the confidence of the countries
and contributed to having more distrustful citizenry in the institutions that were created to
maintain an environment of security, certainty and competitiveness in the country.
It is expected that the causes of corruptión will increase with the degree of inefficiency in
which the activity of the institutions is carried out, with the discretion of officials, with the
degree of monopoly over the services they provide, with the income they can obtian in
activities corrupt, with a low probability of being discovered, with low sanctions for corrupt
activities, and with low social sanction for the corrupt.
