ABSTRACT

This report consist the review of two articles, “Records Management Strategies
and Professional Performance of Administrative Staff”. The article examined
record-keeping practices among Laguna State Polytechnic University employees
and if such practices impact their productivity. People of various ages, genders,
periods of service, and job functions handle records in different ways, according to
a survey conducted among 59 employees. But how well they performed their jobs
was unaffected by these disparities. Additionally, the study found that efficient
record-keeping enhances employees' job performance. The study concludes that
by training employees in better record-keeping practices and conducting more
performance reviews, the university could improve operations. The next journal
review is organizations in the public and private sectors are beginning to
understand the connection between providing quality services and good records
management. Higher education institutions have failed to recognize the
importance of records management in providing high-quality services,
nevertheless. Among other things, this could be caused by a lack of management
policy frameworks, document destruction, and a shortage of qualified workers.
These organizations are unable to succeed as a result. In order to improve service
quality, this article aims to implement solutions for better record management in
higher education institutions.
