General Information
 This meeting is to reestablish effective communication and expectations that align with effective
governance and city operations.
 Normal meeting schedule can restart.
 You are not blocked. You have not been blocked.

Meetings Guidelines
 Bi-weekly scheduled meetings with Councilmember and Administrator are for City Topics –
Policy Questions, Items coming to Council, Constituent Concerns.
 They are 45 minutes, via Teams or phone, until further notice.
 Sometimes they will need to be rescheduled or cancelled if other scheduling conflicts or more
pressing issues arise.

Communication Guidelines
 Email is preferred for any lengthy topic.
 A heads up about a call and its purpose, is helpful.
 Text messages and phone calls at night and on the weekend should only happen in truly urgent
situations. Otherwise send an email with the request or question and we will follow up. Bullet
points work great in these situations.
 Please follow the request to copy department head, deputy and/or City Administrator when
contacting teammates.
 The teammates listed in the Departmental Information handout are the appropriate people to
reach out to on non-agenda items.
 Agenda item questions should go to the presenter AND copy the Department Head, Deputy
Administrator and/or City Administrator.
 When in doubt, contact the City Administrator and I will connect you and/or your question to
the right person to address the issue.
 Communications should focus on city business, not personal matters.
 Communication should not involve complaints or grievances regarding colleagues.
