The words ‘has’, ‘have’ and ‘had’ are also used as verbs, for example:

A verb can be made negative by placing not or never after the helper,
for example: I do not want chips. They will never come back again.

A singular subject has a singular verb. A plural subject has a plural verb,
for example: The old horse lives on a farm.
The old horses live on a farm.
A verb should always agree with its subject.
