extrapyramidal symptoms; prevention/ treatment of nausea,
vomiting, or vertigo due to motion sickness; antitussive; short-
term management of insomnia; adjunct to Epinephrine in
treatment of anaphylaxis. Topical form used for relief of
pruritus from insect bites, skin irritations

Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to diphenhydramine. Neonates or premature
infants, breastfeeding.

Side Effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, muscle weakness, hypotension, urinary
retention, thickening of bronchial secretions, dry mouth, nose,
throat, lips; in elderly: sedation, dizziness, hypotension.
