WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD
By: Louis Armstrong

I see trees of green, red roses, too

I see them bloom, for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful
world

I see skies of blue, and clouds of white

The bright blessed day, the dark sacred
night
And I think to myself what a wonderful
world.

The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in

the sky
Are also on the faces of people going
by.
I see friends shaking hands, sayin,’ How
do you do?
They’re really sayin’ I love you

I hear babies cryin’ I watch them grow

They learn much more than I’ll ever
know
And /yes I think to myself. What a
wonderful world.

Now, based from the song, answer

II.MORAL

We are all dreaming of a

world in which peace,
order, harmony, and
equality are all felt and
experienced by everyone.
We are all longing for a
society in which love and
respect reign – a society
that does not experience
corruption, discrimination,
crimes, and all other forms
of injustices. The good thing
is this is also what God

3
wants us to have. In fact,
this original plan is for all
of his creation to live in a
perfect wold and have a just
community.

 HUMAN BEINGS ARE THE

HIGHEST FORM OF
GOD’S CREATION

Genesis 1:27 – God created

mankind in his image; in the
image of God he created them,
male and female he created
them.

One truth from the Bible that

supports the idea that God
originally created a just
community for humankind is
when He created man according
to His image and likeness.
By creating man according to
His divine image, God shared
with humans His divine life.
This notion is further enhanced
in Genesis 2:7 when God
shared his divine breath to man
to give him life. These stories of
the creation of man point to the
fact that each human being is
of great value for he reflects in
himself the image of God, his
creator (Singer-Towns 2012sa).
Therefore, after having created
human beings in a very special
manner, the Creator wanted us
to live in loving communion
with him and with one another
by loving Him above all things
and respecting everyone, each
being a reflection of God’s image
and likeness. By doing so, we
can make our world a
wonderful place to live in.

 HUMAN BEINGS ARE

CALLED TO LIVE IN
LOVING COMMUNION
WITH ONE ANOTHER

4
Genesis 2:18 The Lord God
said: it is not good for the man
to be alone. I will make a helper
suited to him.
The second account of creation
implies the idea of human
beings’ inter-dependence with
one another. Every human
being needs love, support, help,
and all kinds of assistance that
would come from the different
people around him, and

therefore, it is imperative for

him to live harmoniously with
one another and build a just
community.
Genesis 2:18
Denotes that it is a plan of God
in the beginning, when He
created Eve from Adam’s rib, for
human beings to have intimate
connections with one another
as modelled by the very first
human beings is to build a just
and loving community where
love, peace, and justice reign as
everyone works for the good of
one another (Singer-Towns
2012).

 GOD MADE HUMAN

BEINGS THE STEWARDS
OF HIS CREATION

5
Genesis 1:28 - God blessed
them and God said to them: Be
fertile and multiply; fill the
earth and subdue it. Have
dominion over the fish of the
sea, the birds of the air, and all
the living things that crawl on
the earth.

Another essential truth that the

story of creation presents is
God’s giving of dominion over
the rest of His creation to
human beings, God made man
the steward of His creation,
giving him the authority to use
it for his own good. As a
steward, however man, also
possesses the responsibility to
protect and cultivate it so that
more people from different
generations could benefit from
it. Needless to say, to live in a
just world, we must maintain
the integrity of God’s creation
by caring for and cultivating his
creation for the good of all the
present and future generations.

MOTHER TERESA OF

CALCUTTA

6
Saint Teresa of Calcutta (1910–
1997) showed the world a great
example of how to see in every
human being the image of God
by treating every person around
her, especially the poorest of
the poor, with love and respect.
She was known for her
unparalleled compassion for
marginalized people by serving
them unconditionally when the
society seemed to be apathetic
toward them. She personally
visited the less fortunate people
