DESIGN OBJECTIVE

• Pinili kong goal is to create a shopping mall na magaattract ng

mga tourists. Since yung Iban Batangas is liblib, goal natin is to
create a unique and exceptional na shopping mall na nagbebenta
and nagffeature ng local products ng mga taga don.
• Accessibility – maglagay ng terminal kahit litol lang para easily maaccess
yung mall, (isearch anong mode of transpo sakanila tas yun yung gawan ng
terminal)
• Iwasan na gawing mukhang high rise yung building to protect the integrity
nung place. As much as possible gawin na parang match lang sa theme ng
mga existing buildings sa city

DESIGN APPROACH:
- MODERN + VERNACULAR ARCHITECTURE
-Since yung place is nasa rural setting, wala masyadong high rise sa paligid so naisip kong approach
is vernacular architecture, iaapproach natin yung design by featuring locally sourced materials like bamboo,
narra, nipa, etc. Pag ganto, mas magmmatch yung itsura ng shopping mall sa overall ambiance ng place.

BIOPHILIC ARCHITECTURE
• “Biophilic design is an approach to
architecture that seeks to connect building
occupants more closely to nature. Biophilic
designed buildings incorporate things like
natural lighting and ventilation, natural
landscape features and other elements for
creating a more productive and healthy built
environment for people.” So since nasa rural
setting nga, more likely na mas maganda
gamitin yung approach para mas maset yung
vibe ng shopping mall. Use tayo ng design
strategies like green roof, green walls, open
areas, etc.
• Isang approach din na gusto kong gayahin is yung
parang sa Greenbelt na Mall, like andami nilang
garden sa paligid, sobrang relaxing yung vibes and
ang sarap tambayan. Ginawa din nila don parang
niutilize nila yung mga ganon para sa outside
dining ng restaurant
