Eco Resort

INTRODUCTION
An eco hotel, or a green hotel, is an environmentally sustainable hotel or accommodation that has made important environmental improvements
to its structure in order to minimize its impact on the natural environment
The basic definition of an eco-friendly hotel is an environmentally responsible lodging that follows the practices of green living. An eco-resort
offers a tropical experience to visitors. Such a resort makes only a minimal impact on the environment without compromising guests comfort and
safety. It can also be an economically viable alternative to typical air-conditioned structures. The eco-resort has to draw on and blend with the
local natural and cultural environments by employing principles of Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD). It must minimize use of energy
through passive solar design and, where additional energy inputs are required, it should utilize the renewable resources of sun, water and wind. It
also has to make minimal impact on the environment by limiting waste, emissions, pollution and other undesirable effects of Its operation

AIM
To design an Eco resort not only for leisure but will offer tourist a complete experience of the particular place

OBJECTIVE
• Provide a recreational environment for varieties of facilities and functions.
• Comfortable design which portrays an environment of leisure and promotes interaction with nature.
• Respond to climatic and energy consumption issues raised by present day architecture through sustainable design.
• Designing with the suitable perspective to the surrounding environment and without the environmental disadvantages.
• Locating the buildings with public spaces and common facilities for encouraging social interaction.
• Cost effective and functional design.
NEED FOR THIS PROJECT
Our life has been evolved and education has been flourished in recent centuries. Although, the stress has been increased on the individuals
making them need to entertain themselves. From here the idea of tourism resort appeared people usually travel from one place to another in
order to find entertainment and relaxation. The approach in this research is to design an environmentally friendly resort that will serve the
environment .The resort is considered a place for relaxation, entertain for the visitors and tourists.

METHODOLGY
• Assessing existing demographic and infrastructural scenario
• Assessing the existing tourism scenario
• Implementing biophilic design principles
• Analysis and literature case studies

SCOPE
The project provides an outlet to study the local architecture and also evolution of architectural vocabulary which takes the inspiration from
the vernacular architecture, keeping in mind of the climatic factors
A resort demands the formulation of an ambience which can provide people to relax and leisurely spend their time, at the same time
satisfying all their functional needs, thus this project gives the opportunity to deal with the visual, behavioral, technical, and functional
aspect of the design.
Santnagri
INTRODUCTION
The Santnagri Project was conceptualized as a mega interpretation center for the life and living of the great saints of India. Santnagari shall
exhibit the teachings of the Saints across time, layers of history, religion and region, forming a project of international peace, harmony and
enlightenment. The underlying vision of Santnagri is to create an opportunity and forum to expose people to the life and lessons of the great
saints of India.

AIM
To design an interpretation center of saints and their way of living of all cultures of India and so breaking barrier between different religion and
cultures

OBJECTIVE
• To provide a space where one can understand way of living of sants
• To provide a sustainable environment
• To incorporate biophilic design
• To provide interactive spaces between sants and the learners
• Offer a sheltered space where individuals from different foundations can meet, talk and particularly hear each out other
NEED FOR THE PROJECT
1. To create awareness about our cultural heritage.
2. To propagate the message of the great saints of India, across geography, religion and time.
3. To develop a world class Spiritual Tourism Site in a format that is attractive to the younger generation as well as international visitors.
Santnagari is expected to attract both tourists and researchers.
4. To create a center of pilgrimage to preserve, promote and tell the world about India's high tradition of 'Live and Let Live'.
5. To induce development and employment opportunities in the Sabarkantha are through this Mega Tourism Project.

METHODOLGY
• To know about the living of sants and proposing spaces accordingly
• Implementing biophilic design principles
• To do literature case studies, so to understand the requirements and program

SCOPE
As project is about the living of sants, and has mega infrastructure so from residential to institutional buildings can be designed and
learned. Local architecture of the particular place can be known and implemented.
