Climate change.

We already see the effects scientists predicted, such as the loss of sea ice, melting
glaciers and ice sheets, sea level rise, and more intense heat waves.

Global climate change is not a future problem. Changes to Earth’s climate driven by increased human
emissions of heat-trapping greenhouse gases are already having widespread effects on the
environment: glaciers and ice sheets are shrinking; river and lake ice are breaking up earlier; plant and
animal geographic ranges are shifting; and plants and trees are blooming sooner.

That’s why we need to have a solution to solve this alarming problem. A scientist once said, "We don’t
just study climate. We acted on it.

NASA collects data to show how our climate is changing from both natural causes and human activities,
from documenting impacts on ice sheets, sea level, and Arctic Sea ice to monitoring vegetation health
and freshwater movement. We are putting decades of research, technology, and innovation to work to
improve people's lives on our home planet.

As NASA is finding ways to help our planet, we, as humans, should also do our part to conserve and
preserve our planet. There are actions that everyday people can take to protect the environment: First,
we can recycle, reuse, and compost. Recycling involves cutting down on waste and energy consumption
by turning used items such as plastic bottles into new items. Reusing involves cutting down on waste by
reusing items such as grocery bags; making better transport choices; reducing your electricity usage;
buying local; donating to conservation groups; and avoiding toxic chemicals are some examples of how
to preserve or protect our environment.

The environment is vital to our well-being and every element should be protected. Conserve energy by
using less energy and embracing alternative energy sources. Help to replenish what is being taken away
by giving back to the Earth. Practice habits that are part of conservation and preservation efforts. so that
in the future, our world will become great again.
