41. Scale – A product looks bigger or smaller
in the ad than the actual product
• I have chosen scale because I think it is
a technique used in most if not all
products you see in advertisement.
• Research and Explain. Scaling in
Advertisement is used to make a product
Look better or more appetizing to the
customer, for example the McDonalds
advertisement. In the advertisement the
quarter pounder looks bigger and nicer to
look at, then when you actually buy one, It
doesn’t look anything like it does on the
advertisement.
• I think this technique works well in media and is used in most product
advertising, in a way it could be called foils advertising as scaling makes
the product look better, bigger ext. in the advertisements then it
actually is.
