A. It bubbles, water has a surface tension in which the water molecules stay grouped together and away from
air, which causes the shape of liquid droplets. When surfactants are added to the solution, they lower the
surface tension of water and allow the spreading and forming of bubbles.
B. The cup of hot coffee, because of increased molecular motion.
C. It makes a popping sound, because of the sudden change of air pressure. When you release the cap, the
higher-pressure air inside the bottle rushes out into the lower-pressure air inside the room. This then creates a
pressure wave that you hear as a sound.
