1. Ifa says that it foresees the ire of compatible of spouse for a
woman for whom this Odu is revealed. Contrary to the
customary practice, this woman is the one who is going to
pay the groom price instead of the groom to pay her bride
price. She is the one who is expected to buy all the wedding
materials that will be used for the marriage and at the same
time give the husband maintenance allowance money. That
is the time that her success in her matrimonial home will be

And spent the money on purchasing her husband
She was advised to offer ebo

2. Ifa advises this person to hold onto Ifa. He/she shall be


successful from outside his/her local domain. Ifa says that
Ifa is his/her strongest pillar of support and it will never let
him/her down. Ebo materials: two pigeons, two guinea-fowls
and money. He/she also needs to feed Ifa with four rats and
four fish. On this, Ifa says:

3. Ifa says that it foresees the ire of joy and fulfillment for this
person. There are two people involved in this Odu. One is
at home and the other is outside the vicinity where the first
person lives. Ifa says that both of them will soon meet one
another with joy. Ebo materials: four pigeons, four guinea-
fowls and money. One of the guinea-fowls will be used to
feed Ifa. On this, Ifa says:

Translation
It had been a long time
Because it is a long time it is already history
Ifa’s message for the mouse
And also for the rat in the forest
They were both advised to offer ebo

We have now seen each other
And we are very happy

4. Ifa advises this person to offer ebo of childbearing. This


person needs to procure many calabash seeds, two
roosters, two hens, four rats, four fish and money. The
calabash seeds will be planted and a she-goat will be used
to feed Ifa. By the time the calabash seeds begin to
germinate, this woman will become pregnant and will give
birth to children. On this, Ifa says:

Ifa’s message for the inhabitants of Ipere Ayan town

Offspring of the owner of one well designed calabash

5. Ifa asks a woman to offer ebo and feed her Ori in order for
her to succeed in life. This woman is suffering from the
problems of unconsummated fortune. Her Ori is no longer
giving her the necessary support. Ifa advises this woman to
offer ebo with plenty of money and to feed Ifa with two
matured she-goats. After this, she will feed her Ori as
prescribed by Ifa. On this, Ifa says:

Translation
It is ones Ori that creates problem for one
One’s buttock cannot give one’s problem

6. Ifa advises somebody here to offer ebo not to because of


money remove himself/herself from the community. Ifa says
that this person should not allow money to reduce him/her
into an insignificant member of the society. Ebo materials:
three guinea-fowls, three roosters and money.

7. Ifa advises this person to offer ebo of the future. He/she


shall be the recipient of all ire of life. He/she must however
never be in a hurry to achieve success in life. Ebo materials:
four pigeons, four guinea-fowls and money. He/she also
needs to feed his/her Ori with one guinea-fowl and liquor.
On this, Ifa says:

Translation
Intense fire is it that turns the iron gong as red as ember
Heavy rainfall turns the anthill into marshy mud
Ifa’s message for Eyinwa, Future
Who was the elder of Ola, Tomorrow
He was advised to offer ebo

If it is financial success that I will have, who knows

8. Ifa advises a woman to offer ebo of childbearing. This
woman is an Apetebi and she will beget several children in
life. Ifa advises her to offer ebo with 200 rats, 200 fish, 200
hens, 200 guinea-fowls and money. This material will be
used to feed Ifa on a regular basis. On this, Ifa says:

Ti nmoju ekun sunrahum omo
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
O gb’ebo, o ru’bo

9. Ifa advises this person to offer ebo of comfort and peace of
mind. He/she also needs to offer the ebo for him/her not to
be troubled by fellow human being. The ebo material for
peace and comfort is one rooster, one hen and money.
Some quantity of bones will be added to the ebo. The ebo
materials for fellow human being not to give him/her trouble
are one duck, and two giant rats. On this, Ifa says:

10. Ifa advises this person to offer ebo with two pigeons,
two hens and money. He/she also needs to feed all drums
and take good care of drummers. On this, Ifa says:

Ifa kan gbero lenu omo
O ku okookan sankosanko lenu awo agbalagba
Dia fun Ajibilu
Tii somo Iwori Ayoka
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
O gb’ebo, o ru’bo

11. Ifa advises this person against avaries. This person is
pursuing two things at the same time. He/she needs to
concentrate on one and drop the other. He/she is advised to
offer ebo with two pigeons, two roosters and money. If she
also needs to feed Esu with one rooster and feed Ifa with
one pigeon. On this, Ifa says:

Kooma baa ka dudu
Dia fun Osan
Dia fun Oro
Ebo ni won ni ki won waa se
Osan nikan ni nbe leyin ti sebo
Silosilo laa bomo osan
Losilosi laa bomo oro

For you not to pluck unripe fruit
Ifa’s message of Osan, the Orange
And for Oro, the African Cherry Mango

With sweetness we meet the Orange
But Oro is always sour

12. Ifa says that this person shall become a leader and a
respectable member of the community. He/she shall have
course to celebrate his/her success and acceptance. The
whole world shall recognize this person. Ebo materials: four
pigeons, four guinea-fowls and money. On this, Ifa says:

13. Ifa says that one woman is having extra-marital affair


where this Odu is revealed. This woman needs to desist in
order to avoid the wrath of Ifa. Generally, the male children
of Iwori Ayoka have the problem of their wives engaging in
extra-marital affair. Ebo materials: three roosters, three
hens and money. He/she also needs to feed Ifa with one
matured she-goat. On this, Ifa says:

She was asked to take care of the husband’s house but
she cannot
She was asked to take care of her secret lover’s house
but she also cannot
She is only groaning and panting
Ifa’s message for Adoko ma ka, she who engages in
extra-maritals affair but refuses to confess

This is an abomination
Can’t you see the woman who engages in extra-marital
affairs but refuses to confess and who is being taken
away by death
14. Ifa says that this person shall be elevated by Ifa.
He/she needs to thank Ifa regularly. Ifa advises this person
to offer ebo with two pigeons, two guinea-fowls, two hens,
two roosters, and money. He/she also needs to feed Ifa with
one matured she-goat. On this, Ifa says:

16. Ifa advises a man to offer ebo with one mature he-goat
in order for him not to lose his potency. There is also the
need for this man to feed Ifa with one mature she-goat. It is
a taboo for this man to consume raffia palm wine. On this,
Ifa says:

Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
O koti ogbonyin sebo
Ipin aisebo, egba aimeru ni tutu
