The first experiments that promoted cinema were created by Eadweard

Muybridge and Emile Reynaud. The first one, born in 1730 in England, was
curious to know if a horse gallops at full speed with all four legs off the
ground. To find out, he created an ingenious system in which a horse
could be photographed galloping at different moments.
Émile Reynaud, born in France in 1844, was passionate about Muybridge's
toys that simulated movement, and created his own invention called
praxinos.cope.
Auguste and Louis Lumière, who ran a
photographic supplies company, to analyze these devices in order to
improve them. On February 13, 1895, they
patented a revolutionary projector, the cinematograph,. On March 22 of the same year, they
presented their invention at the Société d'encouragement pour l'industrie
nationale, projecting the short film Exit from the Lumière factory.
