This application note describes how the CT Analyzer should be connected to a bushing CT inside a
( ) transformer and points out the influence of the respective connection method.
To observe typical ratio errors against the connection method, we carried out some measurements at a
transformer ( ) with a measurement CT within a bushing.
1.2 For CTs in the feed line of a winding; Ratio error 0.037%
Here, only two parallel transformer windings are connected in series to the CT, affecting the measurement
of Rct to the least possible extent. The star winding and the remaining windings of the delta winding are
shortened. This avoids an influence of the core flux on the measurement.
