CANTEEN COOK (12)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above
position, which has arisen in the Human Resources Department – Kwekwe Maltings Plant.

The Job
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the successful applicant will be, among other key
challenging aspects, responsible for:

 Maintaining a safe and hazard free working environment.


 Meal planning and preparation.
 Serving of food and beverages at appropriate times.
 Collecting crates of soft drinks from stores to the canteen.
 General cleanliness of the canteen environment and canteen utensils.
 Maintaining coolers with beverages all the time.
 Keeping appropriate records of all canteen food stuffs and utensils all the time.
 Canteen related activities as assigned by the HR Manager from time to time.

The Person
The ideal applicant should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes: -

 5 “O” level passes which include English and Mathematics.


 Certificate in Hotel and Catering/ Culinary Arts/ Professional Cookery or equivalent.
 At least one-year experience in the relevant field.
 Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene.
 Have the ability to work under pressure.
 Good interpersonal and communication skills.
 Have working knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental management systems (ISO
45001, ISO14001 and NOSA) and Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 22000 or
FSSC 22000).
