In William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, 

a long feud between


the Montague and Capulet families disrupts the city of Verona and causes tragic results for
Romeo and Juliet. Revenge, love, and a secret marriage force the young star-crossed lovers to
grow up quickly — and fate causes them to commit suicide in despair.
Romeo and Juliet get married in secret with the help of Juliet's nurse and Friar Laurence.
Another fight breaks out in Verona and Tybalt kills Romeo's friend Mercutio. Romeo had tried to
prevent the fight but, after Mercutio's death, he kills Tybalt. The Prince banishes Romeo from
Verona because of what he has done.
