    Consider a five storey rectangular steel residential building, located in Mumbai, with plan
    dimensions 10.5m x 30m and each floor of 3 m height. The structural framing plan is shown
    in the figure

    You are allowed to use a spreadsheet to simplify your work and tabulate the results.

    1. Calculate LL on the beams @ the first floor. (A=10.5m span, B = 15 m span, C = 7.5 m
    span, D = 10.5 m span)
    2. Calculate LL @ footings of columns 1 and 2 (consider LL reduction). (Consider
    symmetricity of the structure)
