for the lesson Emphasize that the lesson is about MINIMIZING HUMAN IMPACT ON
THE ENVIRONMENT.
Introduce all the the importance of the pictures in the
environment and the effects why climate change and global
warming occurs..
C. Presenting Ask the learners:

new lesson
What do you think is the reason why this happen?
 Global warming
 Climate change
 Because of human activities

D. Discussing new concepts EXPLORE

and practicing new skills Students will be grouped into 4. Each group will be given
different tasks.

Group 1 – Learning Area 1( Answer the questions given in each

learning areas)
Group 2 – Learning Area 2( Answer the questions given in each
learning areas)

activity.

E. Developing mastery EXPLAIN

their said activity.

Group 1: Global Warming

Global warming refers to the mainly human-caused rise in average
temperature of the Earth's climate system. In the English-
language Wikipedia, references to global warming are
automatically redirected to the article on climate change.
Global warming may also refer to: a long-term rise in: global
surface temperature.

Group 2: Deforestation
Deforestation or forest clearance is the removal of a forest or
stand of trees from land that is then converted to non-forest
use.Deforestation can involve conversion of forest land to
farms, ranches, or urban use. The most concentrated
deforestation occurs in tropical rainforests.

Group 3: Animals
Animals play an essential role in maintaining a healthy
environment. Among other ways, they help with pollination, pest
control, and climate control. Read on for just a sampling of
some interesting ways that animals support the environment that
we enjoy.

Group 4: People using energy

Energy drives economies and sustains societies. Energy
production and use is also the single biggest contributor to
global warming. The energy sector accounts for about two-thirds
of global greenhouse gas emissions attributed to human activity.
F. Finding practical ELABORATE
application of concepts and Base on the activity is global warming real?
skills in daily living
G. Making Generalizations In order for them to understand the lesson further I’ll give
and abstractions about the another activity game and they will present it in front of their
lesson
classmates.

H. Evaluating Learning EVALUATE

Directions: Choose the letter of the correct answer. Write the
chosen letter on a separate sheet of paper.

global warming?
a) Composting
b) Recycling
c) Reducing
d) Planting tress

2. Why we should care about the rainforest?

a) They provide or nurture biodiversity.
b) They are sources of food and other resources.
c) They are a source for medicine and other chemicals.
d) All of the above.

3. How might products be designed so that they are more

“environment-friendly”?
a) Less energy should be required for their use.
b) Less energy should be used in their manufacture.
c) Product should be designed to be recycled or reused.
d) All of the above make product more “environment-friendly”.

4. Which of the following is not an effect of global warming?

a) Extinction of animals
b) Proliferation of trees
c) Rise of sea level
d) Melting of ice caps

5. Which of the following leaves less human impact in the

environment?
a) Deforestation
b) Heavy smoke emissions from factories
c) Using energy-saving appliances
d) Burning garbage's

I. Additional Activities for EXTEND

remediation Assignment: Recreate the habitat of an endangered or extinct
species in a medium of your choice. Use one of the media listed
below. Show the elements of the ecosystem that human activities
have affected and that are contributing to the decrease of
species.

You can create one of the following (picturesfrom

imagery.
