Learning Task
At the end of the lesson, the learners are
expected to:
a.Define what is biotic potential and environmental
resistance;
b.Categorize the difference between biotic potential
and environmental resistance (e.g. diseases,
availability of food and predators) that affect
population explosion in a specific area; and
c.Value the importance of these factors to the
population growth.

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Before the lesson
Preliminary Activities (3 mins.)
a. Prayer Call a student randomly to lead the prayer in class.
b. Greetings Greet the students with enthusiasm and energy for
them to be motivated to participate in the class. Don’t
forget to smile and spread the positive vibes.
c. Arrangement of Be sure to make the classroom environment
Chairs conducive for learning.
d. Attendance Check the student’s attendance. (Late, Absent,
Excuse)
If absent, ask for a student’s excuse letter.
e. Assignment Collect the assignment if there’s any.
f. Reminders Mention the DO’s and DON’Ts in class. Highlight the
wearing of facemasks and social distancing.
Review/ Elicit (5mins.) Conduct a short review of the previous topic by
giving the activity below:

STEPS:
a) The teacher will divide the class into three (3).
All groups will be given sets of materials which
would be the bases for the 3rd activity.
b) The students will solve the picture puzzles and
answer the questions found in the PowerPoint
Presentation. These picture puzzles will be
their guide in predicting the outcome of the
places/scenarios given. Answers will then be
presented in front.
c) The teacher will give additional input and
feedback about the mentioned topic.
