Quarter inch seams allowed unless otherwise specified.

1. Tape pieces together at shoulders (on the triangle with a line) before cutting out
2. Sew center back seam
3. Press neckband in half lengthwise and sew to front and around neck edge; trim any excess
4. Narrow hem the protruding part of the sleeve edge
5. Sew sleeve to body between triangles
6. Sew sleeve closed from arm opening to triangle
7. Sew body closed from triangle to bottom hem
8. Narrow hem bottom edge
9. Fold up a tuck at the waist, so the hem falls just at the ankles. Baste in place if desired
10. Sew a narrow strip of self fabric as a belt for an informal yukata, or use a wider decorative ribbon as the obi
(sash) for a more formal version.
