The significance of this study lies in its potential to

help 8th grade students improve their vocabulary

through the use of spelling. Spelling can be a difficult task for many students, as it requires them to learn
the correct spelling of words as well as their meanings. By improving their spelling through the use
of activities such as word games and practice tests, students can become more familiar with words and
learn how to spell them correctly. This can help them better understand the meaning of words, which
can in turn help them improve their overall vocabulary. Furthermore, this study can provide further
insight into the effectiveness of different methods of teaching spelling and how they can be used to help
students improve their overall vocabulary. By understanding the different methods of teaching spelling,
educators can better equip students with the tools necessary to improve their spelling and overall
vocabulary.

To the students, improving the vocabulary of students through the use of spelling can be very
helpful. Spelling can help students learn new words and expand their understanding of concepts. By
providing students with challenging words to spell, they can practice their spellings and recognize and
remember new words. Additionally, engaging activities that focus on spelling can help students develop
their understanding of the English language and its grammar. Furthermore, students can practice
their spelling in a fun and interactive way as opposed to simply memorizing lists of words. Finally,
spelling can also help students become more confident readers and writers and boost their overall
literacy skills.

To the teachers, this study can improve the vocabulary of their students, particularly those in Grade
8. Our research action involves utilizing a variety of strategies, such as exposing students to new words
and providing them with opportunities to practice using the words in context. By providing students
with exposure to new words and the chance to practice them in a natural setting, teachers can help
students develop their vocabulary and become more proficient in their use of language. Additionally,
our research action encourages teachers to provide students with meaningful feedback and guidance
when practicing vocabulary, which can help the students feel comfortable learning new words and
expanding their language.

To the future researcher, they can learn about the effectiveness of utilizing spelling to boost students'
grades. vocabularies.  They can also obtain knowledge of the study's methods.and results, which may
influence future interventions. Furthermore, the outcomes of the study can be used as a baseline for
comparison in future studies by the researcher.
