Scholastic Activities
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

English
Students will be instructed to study about
the names and functions of the different
parts of a ship and precautionary measures
to be taken for a safe journey while sailing
on the ship. They will have to come
forward and explain by using LED.

Students will be informed prior to the


activity to weave a tale on 'The Most
Memorable Day' in school. They will tell
that tale like a narrator in front of the class.

Different images will be shown to the


students on LED and they will be asked to
name that noun and its type within the
stipulated time

group will be given a set of Synonym
cards. When the teacher says a word
(Example: huge), students will have to pick
out a card from the set with the same
meaning (Ex: big ) and make a meaningful
sentence using that word.

1. Students will be asked to write a paragraph on


any of their old photograph one day prior to the day
of activity. 2. Then their sheets will be exchanged
on the day of activity and they will be asked to
compose a 14 lines poem (sonnet) on the basis of
that paragraph using literary devices and rhyming
scheme as per their choice and creativity on A4 size
sheet. 3. Each student will be asked to recite the
poem composed by him.
The class will be divided into groups. Each group
will be given a set of Synonym cards. When the
teacher says a word (Example: huge), students will
have to pick out a card from the set with the same
meaning (Ex: big ) and make a meaningful sentence
using that word. The group completing maximum
tasks in minimum time wil be the winner.
