Recently, we got a case about iPhone 6 shows iTunes error -1 when it is rooting, the owner of
iPhone 6 said that it has no signal after replacing LCD touch screen, rear cover, charge
connector and other peripherals. Usually, this problem is caused by the baseband.

Firstly, we need to check the iPhone, root it and observe the progress bar when rooting, we
can found that it reports error -1 at the place of recovering firmware and now the progress
bar is at about 50%. Then we disassemble the iPhone 6 and test it, we found that baseband
power supply PP_VSW_S3 is short circuit to ground. The circuit diagram of PP_VSW_S3 is
shown in picture 1.

And then we remove the baseband power supply chip, but it still short circuit. The location of
baseband power supply chip is shown in picture 2.

Put rosin on motherboard and find that capacitor C3257_RF is short circuit. The material
object of C3257_RF is shown in picture 3.

PP_VSW_S3 power supply filter capacitor C3257_RF is short circuit. Remove it and short
circuit disappears. The rooting goes on smoothly, as shown in picture 4.

This iPhone has net lock and it needs to be inserted card to activate. But after activating, we
found that Wi-Fi is still in problem. Wi-Fi address is unknown, as shown in picture 5. Wi-Fi
icon is grey and cannot be turned on. Measure the working condition of each Wi-Fi circuit.
They are normal. Replace WiFi chip, now all is fine, this iPhone 6 can back to normal work.
