BEAR STACK (small)

WE BARE BEARS INSPIRED

SUPPLIES

1. Yarn
- brown for a grizzly bear
- dark gray or black and white for a panda
- white or off white for a polar bear
2. Size E (3.50MM) crochet hook for worsted weight yarn or a hook size
that can create a tight stitch for your yarn.
3. Six 6mm safety eyes. Two per bear.
4. Stuffing
5. Tapestry needle
6. Stitch marker (optional)

PANDA EYE PATCH (make two)

You can use yarn to make the patch as shown in the images or felt would
work well too.

Place the eyes at row 28 at stitches 10 and 13 or
centered a row above the top of the snout (the 6
increases in row 29).

- Sew the shorter tail of the patch into any stitch very
near the eye. 

- Coil the chain around the eye.

- Use the other tail to sew the coil onto the head.
Start stuffing at this point and continue stuffing as
you finish the rest of the head. Stuff thoroughly
because the stuffing tends to settle with time. Also,
take time to shape the body well. The body should
be nice, round, and fat.

32 dec until the hole closes without overlapping
Cut the yarn with a long enough tail to sew the hole
closed.
Slst into the next stitch and pull the yarn through to
tighten.

Sew the remaining hole closed tight.


Sew the end into a nearby stitch and pull it through
the bear and out a random stitch as far away from
the entry point as you can.
Pull the end tight and cut the remaining yarn. The
end should hide into the bear when it’s loosened. If
not, just push it into the bear.

the head.

Cut yarn with a long enough tail to sew the leg to
the body.
Slst into the first stitch and pull the end through.
Tighten.
ASSEMBLY

• Attach ears across rows 21 and 22 (where the shape of the head
begins), slightly wider apart than the eyes.
• Attach the front legs across rows 18 through 22 with a couple of
stitches in between. When placing them, look at the placement from
the front of the bear to make sure they’re in line and centered like the
face and ears are.
• Attach the back legs across rows 8 through 12, approximately. They
should be slightly wider than the front legs. The hdc stitches should
face out.
• Attach the tail across rows 4 through 6, centered with the other pieces
of the body.
