EYE PATCH (make two)

Row Instruction in row

will leave a hole that will let us put the eye through
the middle easier

2 *inc* (3 times) - partial row
Break yarn with a long enough tail to sew the patch
to the head. Slst into the next stitch and pull the end

First leg: Slip stitch and break yarn. Tuck the tail into
the leg.
Second leg: Do not break yarn. You’ll connect the
legs at this point

STARTING THE BODY

To start the body, you’ll join the legs first.

1. Place the legs close together with the last stitches of each facing each
other. See Fig. 1.
2. Single stitch in the first leg to start a new row. See Fig. 2.
3. Stitch around both legs in a counter clockwise direction. This is row 1
of the body.

Note: There will most likely be an open spot in the center that you can
sew closed at any point before starting to stuff the bear.

allows the bear to be adorably chubby.

For Panda, place an eye in the middle of each eye
path, then place the eyes on the bear (see next
step). The partial row pieces should be on the
outside, not between the eyes. After getting in
place, stitch the eye patches to the head to hold the
edges down.
Add eyes just above the nose with 3-4 stitches in
between.

Stitch a nose at the tip of the nose and centered with

the eyes across 3-4 stitches. Two or three loops will
do.
Sew a mouth with black thread/floss.

Decrease until the top of the head is closed without
overlapping.
Break yarn and sew the circle closed.
