II. PLOT SUMMARY

The most beautiful woman in the world was Helen of Sparta. She later left her
husband, Menelaus King of Sparta, for Paris, the Trojan Prince, with whom she fell in
love and for his existence was prophesized that the City of Troy would encounter
despair. Ever since Helen's absence from Sparta, King Menelaus went all the way to
Troy with Thousands of ships to take Helen back as his request for Helen's return
was rejected, which caused a war between 2 great greek Kingdoms which were Troy
and Sparta. The battle went on for ten years and soon ended tragically with Paris,
Hector, and other participants in the war.

III. DESCRIPTION

The movie not only introduced historical icons but featured Gods as well as it
showed The goddesses Hera, Aphrodite, and Athena, who each offered their
blessings to Paris as he only chose one, the love of the most beautiful woman in the
world, Helen from Sparta. Sparta was planning to be at war with Troy for more
power, but Paris was sent by his father, the king of Troy and went on to negotiate
peace with King Menelaus, Helen recognized Paris as she immediately fell in love
with him during the party of the kings. Helen left King Menelaus for Paris and would
then be the cause of the Trojan War that occurred around the 12th or 13th BCE.
Each of the characters in the movie played crucial roles as they contributed to the
story's interest. The film featured each character's strengths and weaknesses,
showing how every powerful person has a vulnerable side relating to reality.

IV. ANALYSIS

Based on what we watched, We claim that the movie was adequately shot. Because
the film was made in the early 2000s, when technology wasn't as advanced as it is
now, we expected the quality and director to be terrible. However, the team was able
to pull it off thanks to their skills in the use of special effects, imagery, cinematography,
and movie quality. There may be parts of the story where the audio quality degrades,
and they keep playing the song with Helen's flute-like melody; it is understandable
since it was an early movie of the 2000s with technology still improving for the better.
Even though we don't have much filmmaking experience, we think this movie could
have been better.

V. CONCLUSION/EVALUATION

The actors played their roles excellently, as in some parts of the movie; their acting
makes us feel emotions such as rage, sorrow, and joy. The movie overall is superb, as
it has a proper ending and is highly worth watching for those deep into greek history or
mythology. However, the film is not recommended for children as it contains explicit
content such as rape, death, and blood.
