Definition of Activities: As members of a group, you must write an action plan and define specific tasks for yourselves.

The activities of each group member must be clearly defined.

The plan must describe how you will carry out your investigation and how each individual will participate.

Everybody in a group must share equally in the investigation. Everybody doesn't have to do the same thing but each
group member should contribute. Every plan should include the following information:

Define your research question

Background information
- Include a background to your research question (why is it worthy of investigation? What is the
problem you are trying to solve?)
- Explain your specific topic and the aspects you are focusing on (ESS, biology, chemistry or physics)
- Outline the roles for your team members
- Give any background theory required to understand the premise of your investigation
Materials and method
A list of apparatus
A rough description/diagram of your procedure
Variable identification
- Independent, dependent and controlled variables should be listed

Once we’ve approved your plan, you can move to the action stage. Remember, we only have limited equipment and if
you wish to use unusual materials, you will need to supply them yourself.

Evidence of Individual Participation: Each of you must show evidence of your individual participation in the project.
You must keep a log of all the time and effort spent working on the project. You must update your contribution and
reflections DAILY before leaving school.

You will be evaluated individually on the quality of your participation, and as a group on the timeliness and
quality of your investigation and presentation.
