SEARCHING PARTIES and SEARCHING AREAS

In the event of BOMB THREAT or STOWAWAY searching the following Search Parties will be formed and tasks done.

1. On hearing the EMERGENCY SIGNAL, all Officers and Crew will report to their EMERGENCY STATIONS
2. Once the EMERGENCY MUSTER CHECK LIST has been completed and reported to the COMMAND TEAM
the RESPONSE TEAM 1 will proceed to and join the RESPONSE TEAM 2.
3. The Engine room Party will remain in the Engine room under the command of the Ch/Engineer
4. The following SEARCHING PARTIES will be then set up by the Ch/Officer and they will carry out their designated tasks

SEARCH PARTY No 1: COMMAND TEAM - BRIDGE

Tasks: 1. Establish communication with all Searching Parties
2. Setup code lock, installed at internal door from the stairway, to code mode
3. Search wheelhouse thoroughly.
4. Lock wheelhouse sliding doors from inside , one door open at time to let out Lookout and Officer with VHF
5. Search and then padlock following doors: - UPS Locker located behind wheelhouse, Battery Locker

SEARCH PARTY No 2: MAIN DECK

4. Search and then padlock Port Side Midship Store door
5. Search and then padlock Stbd Side Midship Store door
6. In a mean time search main deck area from fwd to accommodation, including P/Room.

SEARCH PARTY No 3: ACCOMMODATION OUTSIDE

3. In a mean time search main deck area from sunken deck to fwd accommodation. Ensure that your team meets Search
Party No2 arriving from fwd and Search Party No6 arriving from an accommodation upper decks.

SEARCH PARTY No 4: ENGINE ROOM

2. Secure hatches: Steering Gear - 2 locations, E/R hatch. Search Poop Deck area.
3. Search Funnel and padlock funnel door (Port Funnel Deck). Search Port Funnel Deck and Port Provision Crane resting deck.
4. Split for two persons teams to search following areas: Steering Gear (via entrance Sunken Deck), then Engine Room areas.

SEARCH PARTY No 5 - ENGINE CONTROL ROOM

Tasks: 1. Establish communication with the Command Team prior to commencing search and report when the search completed.
2. Search ECR.
3. Search, stop and secure Lift in position above ECR.
4. Two persons team (C/E remains in ECR) will search 2nd Platform, then continue look out of the Engine room area after
exchanging information with Search Team No4

SEARCH PARTY No 6: ACCOMMODATION INSIDE

Upper Deck, Sunken Deck
3. Ensure that your Search Party met Search Party No2 arriving from fwd main deck and Search Party No3 arriving from Sunken De

In case of location a bomb or suspicious package, it shouldn't be touched and Command Team informed only,
however, search should be continued for possibilities of another item being hided in area.

In case of capturing of stowaway, Command Team should be informed to arrange arresting, however,
after arresting the search should be continued for possibilities of another stowaway being hided in area.

2. Search Poop Deck and secure hatches by locking nuts:
- Steering Gear Room (main hatch and rope hatch),
- E/R hatch
3. Padlock Funnel door (Port Funnel Deck). In a mean time search Port Funnel Deck and Port Provision Crane resting deck.
4. Split for two person teams to Search following areas:
1st team:
- Commence search Steering Gear Room via entrance from Sunken Deck and then continue search moving to Engine Room.
Ensure you meet 2nd team nearby boiler area.
2nd team:
- Entry Engine Room from Sunken Deck. Commence search Funnel up to the top external platform, then go down to meet 1st team
nearby boilres.
5. When both teams met at meeting point, continue search Engine Room:
1st team:
-Proceed searching Port side areas of the E/R 1st platform, then down to meet Search Party No5 - Engineroom Party outside ECR
2nd team:
-Proceed searching Stbd side areas of the E/R 1st platform, then down to meet Search Party No5 - Engineroom Party outside ECR
6. After exchanging information regarding areas being searched yet, between your Search Team with Search Team No5, continue searching down with bilges
included.

3. Two persons team will go outside ECR and commence searching following areas:
- Engine Room 2nd Platform. Ensure that your Search Team meets Search Team No4 at the entrance to ECR.
4. After meeting Search Party No4, exchange information regarding searched areas. Then Chief Engineer (person in charge) will remain in ECR and rest
members of Search Team No5 will remain outside ECR to keep look out of Engine Room.

for possibilities of another item being hided in area.

- Sunken Deck. After searching set up code locks at entrance door to Engine Room inside accommodation.
3. Ensure that your Search Party met Search Party No2 arriving from fwd and Search Party No3 arriving from Sunken Deck.
