Pricing and Payment

Pricing

 $70 per month is charged upon enrollment (1st of the month – 15th)
 $35 partial charge if enrolled after the 15th of the month

Payment

 First payment is taken from provided account at registration

 Monthly payments will be automatically pulled on the 2nd of each month
 Partial payments will be taken when FitNation pool is closed for maintenance

Where/How do I register for swim lessons at FitNation

 Purchase online gurneeparkdistrict.com

 Purchase in person at Viking Park Community Center, Hunt Club Park Community
Center or FitNation Gurnee

Best time to register for swim lessons at FitNation

 Be sure to check the FitNation Swim School lesson schedule prior to registering
 Gurnee Park District recommends registering between the 1st and the 14th of
each month.

Choosing lesson time and day

 Select top choices for time and day when registering

 After registration, you will be contacted by the Aquatics staff via email
o email will confirm time, day and start day for first swim lesson
 Lesson availability will fill quickly
 Students cannot be placed without first payment

Program Structure and Curriculum

Swim lessons at FitNation

 Swim weekly, for $70 per month

 Swim lessons are at FitNation Gurnee only
 Monthly payment is reoccurring until cancellation
 Each student progresses at their own pace
 Change weekly lessons at any time, by contacting the Aquatics department

 Free open swim for all students and families

 Exclusive access to all aquatic special events
Ages for swim lessons at FitNation

 Available for those 6 months and older, as well as adults!

Levels and progression

 You will be tested at your first lesson, placed and progress accordingly

Request to change swim lesson day and/or time

 Call Aquatic Department 847-599-3786 to select a new day and/or time

Passing to the next level

 Level progression occurs at an individual pace

 Once necessary skills are performed, level advancement will occur
 Students will be notified and provided with available next level options

Swim Lessons at FitNation

Checking in for lessons at FitNation

 Come early to scan in, receive receipt and get ready for lessons
 Receipts must be turned into instructor, prior to the start of lessons
 Pre printed receipts will not be accepted
 If a receipt is lost, the Swim School manager on duty will be able to reprint

What to bring

 Swimsuit and towel - required

 Swim lessons pass - required
 Swim diapers are required for those that are not toilet trained
 Goggles are not required, but can be an option

Make Ups and Missed Lessons

 Any missed classes need to be submitted online, prior to missed class

o Response will come from the Aquatic Department within three business
days
 Make up requests after lessons will not be accepted
 12 make up requests are allowed per year
 Makeups for makeups are not offered and cannot roll over

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancelling swim lessons at FitNation

 Students can cancel at anytime

  To cancel, fill out and submit a cancellation form on or before the 15th of the
month to have it be processed in the current month. Cancellation forms
received after the 15th of the month will be processed in the following month and
will include all billing amounts for that month.
o Cancellation forms are available at Hunt Club Park Community Center,
Viking Park Community Center and FitNation Gurnee
 $5 cancellation fee will be applied

Extended illness, injury or travel

 For illness please provide a doctor’s note and contact our Aquatic Department
at 847-599-3786
 Enrollment can be held up to four months
 $5 per month hold fee will be charged to hold your spot
