TRENDS PLASTICS – Plastic Market orientation

Engineering plastic status: Master Batch

Still very uncertain  Some materials seem to be stabilizing Master mixes always undergo fluctuations, especially
at very high levels, others are still subject to sharp increases on whites and blacks.

Deadlines and availability are still complicated • White: TiO2 continues to rise, rises not offset by
cost falling of monomers.
Strong tension seems to be starting on PA6 (BASF has shut • Black: Black Carbon rises.
down 3 caprolaptam manufacturing sites in Germany for • All UV, AS and other additives continue to increase
profitability reasons).
Risks of energy cuts are to be feared at the end of the year New increases on July 1st on certain references, very
in Germany… Individuals will have priority over industries unequal according to the suppliers and the references.

Always high risks of rupture of components which prevent Take into account an increase of 7% on colors and 12%
